BECOME A CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST

Attain the education, experience, and ALL supervision needed to apply for certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and as a Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst (COBA).

  • JCU’s innovative M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis program is designed to exceed the gold standard of graduate-level training in the field. In preparation for BCBA* and COBA certification, students build a strong foundation in the science of behaviorism through coursework, real-world experience, and experiential learning—a combination that meets the highest level of accreditation standards. They also build connections with faculty and community partners within the field to increase job prospects upon graduations and attain highly competitive salaries.

    *BCBA Certification extends to the United States (US), Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom (UK). International applicants can refer to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board website for resources about behavior analysis standards internationally.

A COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM TO TAKE YOU WHERE YOU WANT TO GO

JCU’s M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis program is a 39 credit hour program delivered using a mix of in-person and synchronous online instruction. Students will also have the opportunity to earn all 1,500 fieldwork hours required for licensure under the supervision of community partners and university faculty. Students also have the option to work closely with faculty on a research project and a written thesis. Full-time and part-time enrollment options are available.

Earn your required 1,500 hours of fieldwork at a wide array of community partnerships including programs associated with inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, schools, criminal justice institutions, and industrial settings, and serving individuals with autism, developmental disabilities or other populations.
